[Map of the Bay de-Noquet and Marquette land grant rail road].

Series 70 of record group 59-4 consists of a map and certificate of acceptance of the Bay de-Noquet and Marquette Rail Road Company, originally collected by either the Michigan Geological Survey or the Michigan Lands Division. The map shows furnaces, mines, and rivers. It was traced on linen by Austin Burt, engineer in 1857. The map is 35 3/4" x 87 3/4" in size. The certificate of acceptance is signed by L.H. Morgan, secretary of the company, John Burt, president and Austin Burt, engineer.
